![]() Album: DropsyArtist: Dropsy Year: 2003 David Cooper, crooner/vibraphonist extradinaire of legendary Bay Area band Eskimo, had the idea to form a band to play his more straight-ahead tunes (which relatively speaking, aren't all that straight-ahead) - aesthetically kind of loungy, jazzy, poppy, big band... all of the above. The band did come into being, rehearsed for a year, played a half dozen shows, recorded a CD, then closed up shop. This was actually the master plan from the beginning, perfectly executed. Boxes of CDs are still available, to be bought or given away free, or enjoy the on-line mp3 variants! Liner notes: All songs by David L. Cooper All arrangement by Dropsy Produced by John Shiurba Engineered/Mixed/Mastered by Myles Boisen Recorded at Guerrilla Euphonics, Oakland Mastered at Headless Buddah, Oakland Design/Illustration by David L. Cooper
